FOUR SERIES AVAILABLE
Georgia Pacific offers four series of I Joists to meet every residential and light commercial construction need. All feature strong, stable oriented strand board webs. The 90 series are made with LVL flanges that have visually graded spruce-pine-fir flanges, and the 40, 60 and 80 series has flanges constructed from strong kiln-dried solid sawn lumber stock.

LVL: BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL SAWN LUMBER
Laminated veneer lumber is an excellent choice for beams, headers, or other primary load carrying members. It gives you more design freedom because it's manufactured to be thicker, wider, and longer than solid sawn beams. Using ultrasonic veneer grading and selection, they have removed many of the flaws found in wood. Problems like twisting, splitting and checking are drastically reduced so there's little waste on the job site. LVL delivers consistent, reliable performances time after time.

ENGINEERED FOR STRENGTH
By combining exterior adhesives and ultrasonically graded veneers, Georgia Pacific has created an exceptionally strong engineered product with more load carrying capacity per pound than solid sawn lumber. LVL has all the advantages of wood, with no major strength reducing defects. It's easy to work with, saving you money and time. It has a high allowable bending stress and is available in long lengths and a variety of depths for every job. Georgia Pacific’s LVL is easy to cut and nail with regular tools.
